Aging Cajuns Adventures

      Delhi, Louisiana      On Monday, July 13th, we left our home base of Abbeville, LA, and traveled to the northeast region of our state, an area we don't recall ever visiting before.  We stayed at Poverty Point Reservoir State Park in Delhi, LA.  This park is conveniently located just a few miles north of I-20, has fantastic amenities, and we highly recommend it for anyone traveling through the top right corner of "The Boot."     Included as part of the State Park's facilities, but located a few miles north, is a marina, concession store, fishing pier, and a beach.  Both areas have a boat launch, a well-equipped fish cleaning station, picnic areas, and air-conditioned public restrooms.       When w e began informing our family and friends about our new adventure, we were asked a few questions about this unexpected announcement.  We would like to share a few of them with you, along with our answers.     The most asked question was:  "Where will y'all be going to first?"       Answer:  First, we will stay in town, Abbeville, LA, for a few weeks to get acclimated to RV living (done).  Second, we will head to Alabama to visit our son, Dustin, and his family (we are currently here), but to tell you what you really want to know, the first big adventure is not planned yet due to the current fuel prices; however, we do have quite a few areas in mind, with the first place being anywhere that has a much cooler climate!       Someone asked a very interesting follow-up question in response to our aforementioned answer, "So, are y'all just going to go where the wind blows you?"  David's quick...
