Aging Cajuns Adventures

      When w e began informing our family and friends about our new adventure, we were asked a few questions about this unexpected announcement.  We would like to share a few of them with you, along with our answers.     The most asked question was:  "Where will y'all be going to first?"       Answer:  First, we will stay in town, Abbeville, LA, for a few weeks to get acclimated to RV living (done).  Second, we will head to Alabama to visit our son, Dustin, and his family (we are currently here), but to tell you what you really want to know, the first big adventure is not planned yet due to the current fuel prices; however, we do have quite a few areas in mind, with the first place being anywhere that has a much cooler climate!       Someone asked a very interesting follow-up question in response to our aforementioned answer, "So, are y'all just going to go where the wind blows you?"  David's quick...

Our first week of living a nomadic lifestyle ...     O ur brand-new RV living adventure began at the beautiful homestead of a dear couple whom we've known for a very long time.  They live a mile from the home that we sold, which made it convenient for us to finish hauling the last of our items from the house to the camper.      This precious couple used to own a camper, so they already had a covered concrete pad as well as all the hook-ups needed to live in our RV there.  This was the perfect place for us to get our feet wet.  They were able to give us great advice and some hands-on training on how to properly hook up and level the RV. We were able to stay at their place for a week, which was a tremendous blessing to us.   Bon jour… We are David & Bonnie Delino, and we've been living on planet Earth for quite a while now, both born in May of 1955.  The area where we’ve lived the longest, which is now our home base, is located in the very heart of Cajun country, which has some of the very best cuisine in America. C’est si bon! With that being said, for purposes of having an online identity, we felt it applicable to name ourselves the “Aging Cajuns!” We have two married children, Dustin (Jenny) and Amber (Tommy Michel), twelve beautiful grandchildren, two of whom are now married, and in 2025, we became the great-grandparents of one sweet little Asian-Cajun!
